Harry
Katrichis has spent more than 25 years in the public policy arena, having
served as legal counsel to government agencies and legislative committees that
focus on business issues. He has
advised and lobbied on behalf of clients in a variety of industries including
agriculture, energy, telecommunications, financial services, health care and
transportation.
Mr.
Katrichis served as the Republican Chief Counsel to the United States House of
Representatives Committee on Small Business for over nine years. There, he advised Members of Congress
on issues involving small business regulatory reform, antitrust and competition
policy, international trade and economic policy. He also managed all phases of legislative development,
including negotiations with the Senate, other House Committees, and the Administration.
Mr.
Katrichis held three different positions during the Reagan Administration. The first was special counsel with the
Office of General Counsel of the U.S. Department of Commerce, where he was
primarily involved in international trade and legislative issues. He next worked as the Associate Chief
Counsel at the Office of Advocacy of the U.S. Small Business Administration,
where he was involved in promoting the perspectives of small business
throughout the Executive Branch and Congress on a number of economic, regulatory,
and competition policy issues.
Finally, he was a special assistant to the Attorney General and was
detailed to the Antitrust Division of the U.S. Department of Justice.
Throughout
his career, Mr. Katrichis has also worked at prestigious law firms in New York,
Baltimore and Washington, D.C., where he has practiced in the areas of
government relations, antitrust, trade regulation, intellectual property and
international trade. He served as
chairman of Arent Fox’s Public Policy Department during most of his six years
at that firm.
